ROYAL PROSPECT
Royal Prospect was formed in early 2014 by four friends; Oscar, Hannes, Gustav and Hannes. Later that year the band participated in the Swedish version of Emergenza festival and ended up in the first place. As well as performing at various Swedish festivals the band was invited to play at Croatia’s biggest music festival “Inmusic” in Zagreb in the summer of 2015, where they entertained fans on the main stage.
The EP “Watching your world” was released independently in 2014.
In 2016 the band was invited to Sweden’s biggest showcase festival “Live at Heart” in Örebro. They quickly received attention from industry officials as a band to watch. The gig was a success and the band was signed by RMG on the spot. It also generated interest from international music festivals and PR companies resulting in an appearance in the YouTube series “Efficacy Series”.
The following time resulted in a new single, Fire, released on the record label Rehn Music Group during late 2016. This single was featured on the British music blog Record of the Day when showed interest from the general director. The music video to Fire was released on Sweden’s biggest music blog Gaffa.
In 2017 the band was invited to play at the famous Stockholm stage Café Opera as being a part of the new live streaming platform Strumlive. They also released the new single Hearts which was featured with a new music video.
Hearts was followed with great response among the fans and the industry. The new single was featured on some major Spotify playlists, such as New Music Friday Sweden, Digster Future Hits and a 5 th place on the Top 50 Viral Sweden was the single stayed for several weeks.
Due to the single’s success, the band was featured in the Q & A with QANDA Magazine where the fans could get to know a little bit more about the background of Royal Prospect.
During the spring of 2017 the band performed at the showcase festival YouBloom in Dublin, where they played at Whelan’s Main Stage. The gig was a success and the band was on the spot invited to YouBloom showcase festival in LA and Mondo showcase festival in NY.
Royal Prospect is constantly writing new music with the intention to develop and refine their sound. Live performances are very important to the band and they never hesitate to experiment. With hit friendly melodies and a powerful and energetic presence on stage, Royal Prospect has every chance to conquer the major arenas.
